iPhone 13 Pro Max Review
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is when you've got practically everything you want in one phone. This premium flagship (from $1,099) packs a 120Hz refresh rate display, the fastest performance of any handset, and truly epic battery life.
But it's the iPhone 13 Pro Max's cameras that top this phone, as they're by far the best I've tested on a phone. You can shoot Cinematic Mode video with a captivating bokeh effect, choose your photographic styles, and take super close-up shots with the new Macro Mode that takes advantage of the ultra-wide camera.
The camera bump of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is more prominent this time around, thanks to the larger sensor, and the overall design is heavier than that of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. iPhone 13 Pro Max Design and display
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is a big smartphone with a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display, and if you have small hands you might have trouble holding it comfortably – you'll only want to go for this model if you're looking for the biggest. the screen that you can get on your iPhone. It's a feature that we've seen on a lot of Android phones over the years, and it's great to see it introduced here in the iPhone 13 series – though it's only available on this phone and the iPhone 13 Pro, where many Android phones are available. The notch makes a comeback at the top edge of the display, but it is 20% smaller than the previous iterations of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. However, you probably won't notice it unless you're comparing it to other iPhones.
The MagSafe, which was another new feature last year with the Ceramic Shield, also returns here, allowing you to magnetically connect wireless chargers and accessories like phone cases and gimbals.

The new camera features and 120Hz display are standout improvements, but that said, they aren't the kind of game-changing upgrades that might encourage you to upgrade from your iPhone 12 Pro Max. If, on the other hand, you currently have an iPhone 11 Pro or Pro Max, or an older iPhone—and have sufficiently deep pockets—then the iPhone 13 Pro Max is a seriously tempting proposition.
