Apple MacBook Pro (16-inch) Review
MacBook Pro with M1 is a laptop with an unbeatable combination of power and stamina, making it one of the best laptops you can buy right now. And I know this because I've been using this system for months to solve my workloads, and I can barely get this machine to stutter, no matter what I throw at it.
Thanks to the M1 chip, the Apple silicon inside this 3-pound beast rounds out most Windows laptops when it comes to sheer performance. Equally important, the new MacBook Pro M1 largely beats the competition on battery life. We are talking endurance of over 16 hours. In fact, it's so good that it won the award for longest-lasting laptop at our Toms Guide Awards 2021. My only complaint is that Apple hasn't touched on the design.
Starting at $1,299, the MacBook Pro's biggest competitor is actually the $999 MacBook Air M1, which has a slightly weaker 7-core GPU for its starting configuration, as well as a dimmer display and smaller (but still great) battery. Life is So is the $300 MacBook Pro better? My MacBook Pro M1 Review will help answer that question for you.
Update: Some might want to wait for the rumored MacBook 2021 14-inch, which is expected to launch this fall with a new M1x chip, micro-LED display, and more ports, but for now the MacBook Pro M1 remains a strong option.
